Per Rolling Stone, Dua Lipa, Chris Martin, Rita Ora, Ellie Goulding are just a few of the singers coming together to create a cover of Foo Fighters “Times Like These.” The song will raise money for BBC’s Children in Need, Comic Relief, and the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.
Other notable artists included on the track will be 5 Seconds of Summer, Hailee Steinfeld, Royal Blood, Sean Paul, Rag’n’Bone Man, Sigrid, Biffy Clyro, Sam Fender, Bastille, and Zara Larsson. Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters are also on the track.
In a statement, Dua Lipa talked about the project, saying, “Learning to live, give and love again are all things I’ve been thinking a lot about during this time. It’s been important for me to check in on family and friends and find new ways to connect and be there for each other even when we can’t physically be together.” She adds, “Appreciating the little things in life has been key for me and I hope this cover is a little bit of joy and hope for those who listen.”
The single debuted today. The video, which will feature the artists recording their parts while in self-isolation, will be out later today. Listen to the tribute below.
