It was scary Saturday night. Where I live in Charlotte there was a tornado warning. We had lots of hail, heavy winds, and downpours but thankfully no damage at our home.
Some were not so lucky. One South Carolina family whose home was destroyed put their Venmo account on their roof in hopes after a tornado destroyed their home.
“I got up on the roof and wrote my Venmo up there,” said homeowner Bill Patterson. “Everything I am doing revolves around my wife and kids. Doing everything I can to rebuild for them.” If you didn’t already know, Venmo is a mobile app where you can electronically wire money to others. The family reportedly has no insurance and they lost everything. To learn more about how to help and this man’s story visit here.
