Spiked seltzer’s are HUGE right now and soon there will be a place specifically for them here in Charlotte. Charlotte will have the very first seltzery taproom on the East Coast.
Summit Seltzery will open this summer in Charlotte’s Wesley Heights neighborhood, at 2215 Thrift Road. Kristen Cagney thought of the seltzery idea a few years ago while lounging at the pool with friends. She’s now making her pool thoughts a reality!
Summit Seltzer will brew its own craft seltzer in-house and will have about 14 seltzers on tap. They’ll offer alcoholic and non-alcoholic seltzers. They’ll also offer specialty made seltzer cocktails and they’ll have beer and wine.
The seltzery will be in a 3,880-square-feet building and offer indoor and outdoor seating. Along with all the drinks, they’ll also have shuffleboard and foosball for customers to play. The seltzery will also be dog friendly! Yay!
The place looks amazing! You can check out some pictures of the building as it’s being built and read more here. Looks like a fun place to hang out and I’m sure it’ll be packed when it opens. I’m thinking fall outside sipping seltzer……that’s my plan! Cheers!
