I've admitted many times that I am not what you'd call a "trendy" person. I'm all about this new exercise trend though! "Prosecco Pilates" is a thing and I wanna sign up!

Fitness instructor Kelly Ravenscroft teaches Pilates online and along with her regular classes, she offers a class called "Prosecco Pilates" where you get an awesome core workout while sipping a glass of bubbly.

Working out with wine seems like an odd combo, but Ravenscroft says it helps improve flexibility, muscle strength and balance. According to her, working out with a glass in hand is effective to help tone stomach muscles, the lower back and the booty. I'm sold!

Ravenscroft teaches many moves, including the "superman" technique, where you extend one arm forward and the opposite leg back while balancing your wine glass in your hand.

Not only are you getting a workout, the wine relaxes you so you are de-stressing your body. I'm ready to grab a bottle and a glass and get to work!

With gyms still closed, folks are doing more at-home workouts. If you wanna switch up your exercise routine, you may wanna give "Prosecco Pilates" a try. I actually have an unopened bottle of Prosecco in my fridge! May be time to bust it out.

Grab details, see pics, and find out how to participate in a class here.  You can follow Kelly Ravenscroft on Instagram here. Remember, don't spill the wine!
