Woman Lets Strangers Vote On All Her Wedding Details
This is a risky thing to do but I gotta say, I dig the idea! Would you let random people you don’t know vote on all the details of your wedding? That’s what Jen Glantz did!
As soon as Jen Glantz became engaged, friends and family began to question her about wedding details. They also started giving her all kinds of unsolicited advice. It was a bit overwhelming. Then Glantz and her fiance began to argue about wedding details. That’s when she decided to do something unconventional.
Glantz set up a website and posted polls letting strangers vote on all the details of her wedding. Yup! The site, FinallyTheBride.com let strangers choose the location, the date, and number of guests.
Here’s how it works: every month, Jen puts up new things for people to vote on, including everything from where, when, and what kind of wedding she would have to whether or not she should get a prenup. Glantz says she didn’t always agree with the choices made but rolled with the votes.
Glantz’s fiance wasn’t into this idea at first but eventually agreed to it. She explained to him that it took away the stress of planning for her. Totally makes sense! Why stress out about all the details? It’s a happy time!
I like this idea! Too many people focus on the details of the wedding instead of the reason for the wedding which is love! Taking away a bit of the stress of planning just rocks!
