Weekdays 10:00AM-12:00PM

4th of July is only a few days away…..which is crazy…..and since it’s 2020, festivities and fireworks are different. But you can still have amazing food and I’ve found some really cool recipes, some that are new to me!

On the Good Housekeeping website, they have 59 Easy 4th of July Recipes and they look amazing! Fireworks aren’t my thing but I’ve always enjoyed the 4th cookout. Cocktails and yummy food are two things I’m always in for.

There are some recipes you’re familiar with and some that may be new. The Grilled Leek and Potato salad recipe sounds and looks delightful! I never thought about using leaks in potato salad. The grilled element would give it a smoky flavor. Gotta love a good potato salad recipe. The Grilled Sweet Potatoes with Lemon Herb Sauce also got my attention. Can you tell I like potatoes? LOL! These would be a great side for some grilled chicken or for grilled shrimp.

There’s a recipe for a Cucumber and Cantaloupe Salad With Savory Quinoa Granola that looks interesting. I’ve never thought of putting cantaloupe and cucumber together. Definitely not an every weekend salad, but it’ll work if you’re trying something new and healthy. There are lots of other yummy looking dishes. There are desserts too and all of those look amazing! Fresh berries in a dessert are the way to go for summer.

If you’re looking for something different for the 4th, take a look at these recipes. There’s something for everyone. Chicken, beef, fish, and veggie-only dishes too.  NOW I’m hungry!  Have a happy and safe 4th!
