We all know that voting is important and this year the push is hard to make sure everyone votes. For a family in Atlanta, that push got a bit interesting.

Ron Tims said he checked his mail Wednesday and found a voter registration application addressed to Cody Tims — his cat, who died 12 years ago. Yup!

Cody the cat lived a long life with his humans and passed away at the age of 18 years-old. The Tims were surprised, and a bit amused when they saw what Cody received in the mail.

“There’s a huge push but if they’re trying to register cats, I’m not sure who else they’re trying to register. I’m not sure if they’re trying to register dogs, mice, snakes,” Carol Tims said.

The Secretary of State’s Office said the application did not come from its office and that third-party groups often use mailing lists to get names and addresses.

The Tims say that Cody was a ‘DemoCat’ and if he were alive, he’d probably vote for Biden. LOL!

This ‘cat application’ would probably be surprising but it’s 2020 and we all know that NOTHING this year is shocking!

I need to check my mail! Maybe Kramer and Mollie have applications waiting on them. You can read more about Cody the cat and his mail here. I’ll say this, if animals could vote it’d make the process way more festive!
