Nothing beats an ice cold beer on a hot summer day but I’m thinking you wouldn’t want THIS beer. National Mustard Day is on August 1, and French’s is offering up something different. A wheat beer with mustard in it for both beer and mustard lovers.
The beer was developed in partnership with Oskar Blues Brewery. According to the product description, it’s a “semi-tart tropical wheat beer infused with citrus fruits to complement French’s Classic Yellow Mustard.” The flavors include key lime, lemon, tangerine, and passion fruit, which go with the spice of the mustard. Alrighty then.
If you’re up for a challenge, you can buy a six-pack of the mustard beer online at CraftShack starting Saturday. It’s a bit pricely, about $20 which includes shipping. The beer will also be available at select Oskar Blues Brewery taprooms in Boulder and Longmont, CO, and Brevard, NC, while supplies last. Might be worth a road trip to Brevard this weekend to check it out!
Phil and I may need to try this for “Taste Test Tuesday.” I’m going to check online Saturday and see if I can buy some. I have a feeling this will sell out quickly. It sounds interesting, and honestly, it may pair well with a burger or a hotdog.
Find out more details on the beer here. This may be a must for mustard fans and funky beer fans. Let me know if you try it!
