Throwback Video of the Week!

The summer of 2020 has not been what any of us expected. We were shortchanged by the pandemic. Let’s throw it back to 1999 with a hit that Rolling Stone put on their list of the Best Summer Songs of All Time.

Released in July of 1999 by Canadian band Len, “Steal My Sunshine” was a surprising top ten hit in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and the U.K. Even Len’s Marc Costanzo, who co-wrote the song, didn’t think much of the catchy track when it was recorded. But there’s no denying that “Steal My Sunshine” has major summertime pop appeal with its catchy, laid back hook.

As for the video, it could never be made in this age of coronavirus. It was filmed in Daytona Beach, Florida during Spring Break. Lots of people, lots of fun and, of course, lots of sunshine.
