Most concerts in 2020 have been canceled so lots of artists have come up with creative ways to still rock-n-roll. Metallica is a band that's still bringing folks live tunes in 2020. The band is bringing a recorded live show to drive-in theaters throughout the United States and Canada.

On Monday the band announced that the Metallica live experience will hit a drive-in theaters on August 29 with a concert filmed for the big screen, presented by Encore Driven. This will be the band’s first show in almost a year. The band Three Days Grace will be the opening act.

The concert will feature tunes from the band's 40 year career. 40 years! Damn I feel old! Pre-sale tickets will be available to Metallica’s Fifth Member fan club, on August 12. General tickets will be sold on August 14. Locally you can check out the show at Hounds Drive-In in Kings Mountain.  The cost is $115.00 per carload. Divide that by 6 and that's roughly only 20.00 per person, which is a deal! If you plan on going I'd get my tickets asap as there's a good chance the show will sell out.

Yes, there are more exciting ways to see a concert. However, this year there are limited options. Getting out of the house and being around a few friends while rockin' out is so worth the cash! And if you've never experienced Metallica, they're awesome live. If you need a rock fix, this will do it for sure.
