Calling all dog lovers and dog owners! A new dog park and bar called Skiptown is opening on Tuesday, August 25 in South End. This looks like an awesome place for pups and their people!
Skiptown is a 24,000 square foot indoor/outdoor dog park and bar with beer, cocktails, and a dog-friendly “beer”. CEO and founder Meggie Williams says it’s like the “Whitewater Center for dogs.” There’s a splash pad, turf with cooling capability, shaded areas, seating, plenty of space for dogs to run, and a section for small dogs. TVs, a U-shaped bar with 25 taps, dog-themed murals from local artists, and a rotating food truck is also part of the facility.
And there’s more! The facility has a private daycare and boarding facility with cushy paw-approved flooring. You can also bathe your dog in the “bathing zone” where you can have your dog bathed, or you can bathe your dog yourself in the self-service area.
Doggies and cocktails….what more do ya need! All Skiptown guests must register through the Skiptown app, even if you don’t have a dog. If you have a dog, you can purchase a day pass for $15 or a monthly pass for $40 a month. Annual memberships are also available.
If you just want to see lots of cute pups and have a drink, Skiptown free for humans without a dog to enter. Every month Skiptown will host adoption days so you may end up with a best friend!
