We've been through a couple of phases of Minecraft-mania in my house. My kids were early adopters when the video game was first released in 2011. They've come back to it numerous times over the years. Now they'll be able to enjoy a big bowl of Minecraft at breakfast.

PennLive reports that Kellogg's has released a special edition cereal inspired by Minecraft called Creeper Crunch. It's a cinnamon cereal with green square marshmallows. But it's more than just a sweet way to start the day. The cereal is also part of the game.

Each box includes one of ten codes that unlocks different clothing items, such as jackets and capes, in the video game. Those items can be used to customize characters. Normally, that's something that would have to be purchased within the game. Kellogg's Minecraft Creeper Crunch is available nationwide for a limited time.
