Farmers’ Almanac Predicts Chilly Winter In North Carolina
Here we go already! It’s August and we’re getting our winter 2020-2021 long-range forecast. The Farmers Almanac claims their yearly predictions are 80% accurate. This year the Farmers Almanac says here in North Carolina, we’re in for “a winter filled with chilly, showery weather.”
The secret formula used by the Farmers’ Almanac is based on sunspot activity, tidal forces resulting from the moon’s gravitational pull, planetary alignment, and other factors. It’s known only by the almanac’s weather prognosticator, who goes by the pseudonym, Caleb Weatherbee. One thing of note the almanac predicts winter’s biggest storm may come around mid-February with a blizzard dumping 1 to 2 feet of snow all along the Eastern Seaboard.
