A professor at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut has put his technical expertise to good use in the fight against the coronavirus. According to Fox 61, Greg Garvey, who helped to establish the school’s Game Design and Development Department, has created a new video game called COVID-19 Exterminator.
In the solo game, players travel through virtual lungs to seek and destroy the virus and save the patient. It looks similar to many of the first-person shooting games that are so popular now.
Professor Garvey developed the game to help raise money for charities supporting pandemic relief efforts. COVID-19 Exterminator is available as a free download for Windows and Mac OS, but players are given the option to donate funds to the organization of their choice. Check it out HERE.
