Russell Dickerson and his wife Kailey welcomed a bay boy yesterday in Nashville; their first child named Remington Edward Dickerson was born on Thursday, September 10.
The couple's baby boy was born at 3:23 p.m., weighing 10 lbs., 4 oz. He measured 22.5 inches long.
Kailey told her husband that she was pregnant on New Year's Day, saying that she had one more Christmas present for him after their extended family had left their home following the holiday. Dickerson recalls, "She put a stocking up on the mantel and I opened it." He said that his wife had gifted him "little navy blue slippers with big white letters on them" that read, "Best Dad."
The couple was married in 2013. Russell posted to Instagram just a few days ago, "Waitin on a baby like. OH AND SHE KILT IT!!!!! Also didn’t mean to go that hard at the end @kaileydickerson likes it tho."
