I blogged about this calendar last year. It took me a minute to realize that there were animals in the pictures and that happened again this year.

The Australian Firefighters Calendar was established in 1993 to support the Children’s Hospital Foundation, providing funds for research into childhood burns. It’s raised over $3.2 million for various charities. Hopefully, the 2021 calendar will also raise funds. After looking at the pictures, I’m thinking it will do VERY well.

Hundreds of firefighters from around Australia submit photos to be part of the calendar photoshoot, but only 24 are selected. And yes, again this year there are adorable animals in the pics with the lovely firemen. The animals you see in the photos come from a few local refuge charities. Some of the rescue animals are also used to help autistic children and adults suffering from mental illness.

This year, the popular ‘Animal Lovers’ Calendar will be more important than ever. Funds from last year’s 2020 calendar helped pay for new equipment and supplies for nearly 6 months. The 2021 edition should play a vital role in treating injured wildlife from the recent fires.

Hot guys and precious animals together and it’s for amazing causes. I’m in! 2020 has pretty much sucked, so this calendar may make many of us really look forward to the new year!

All the pictures and info on how to get the calendar are here. These are great to give as gifts or to hang on your fridge!
