Chris Janson made his entrance in country music via the Grand Ole Opry which he played long before he scored a record deal with Warner Bros. Nashville.

Known primarily as a songwriter, Janson scored some big success in 2012 when he co-wrote Tim McGraw's "Truck Yeah," played harmonica on the track "Beer" from Lee Brice's album Hard 2 Love, and wrote the title track to Justin Moore's 2013 album Off the Beaten Path.

Chris actually self-released his single "Buy Me a Boat" in early 2015, which peaked at No. 3 on Country Airplay and No. 1 on Mediabase.

Janson's second album for Warner Bros., Everybody, was released in September 2017. Its lead single was "Fix a Drink” followed in 2018 by "Drunk Girl" and both went top ten on the country charts. "Good Vibes" followed in 2019 and went to number one as did his 2019 single “Done.”

On February 6, 2018, during his first, sold-out headlining show at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, Keith Urban invited Chris to become the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry.

In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews.
