Sometimes in life, you have to focus on the small things. I am now in my fourth week with Profile by Sanford and I've lost about 15 lbs total. I have about 30 lbs to go, but this week my health coach helped me appreciate the "little wins."

"Little wins" are things that you're doing for yourself but you may not realize it. For instance, this past week I started paying attention to food labels. Now, in the past, when I was hard core into fitness, I did this.  I'd read every food label before I bought it.

By reading the labels on food, I discovered that something that I thought was healthy, actually isn't. Since I'm eating lots of veggies, I bought some cauliflower & spinach gnocchi. It's really good! Unfortunately, it's not that healthy. It has a lot of sugar in it.

Also this week, I passed on two cupcakes. TWO! I didn't eat them, which is huge because I love cupcakes! Instead of just eating, I'm now starting to think about what I'm putting into my mouth. I'm not sitting in front of the TV snacking away. I'm making sure I'm getting all my meals and healthy snacks in, so I'm not starving by the end of the day.

Although thinking about what I eat and passing on some of my favorites isn't as exciting as dropping pounds, it's still a positive. And sometimes in order to move forward, you need to focus on the positives.

It's hard to stop stress eating. Food is the first thing I've been going to after long days or emotional days. I'm trying hard to stop that. I have a lot of stressful things going on in my life at the moment but I'm trying hard not to use Ben & Jerry's to deal with them. LOL!

Take the "little wins" when you can! They'll help you stay focused and positive.
