Experts Are Standing By To Answer All Of Your Thanksgiving Turkey Questions
When it comes to preparing a turkey for your family’s Thanksgiving dinner, you don’t want to take any chances. A burnt bird is not the lasting memory you want to make. Thank goodness the turkey experts at Butterball and Jennie-O are on the job again this year. Here’s what you need to know:
- Butterball has been answering cooking questions on their Turkey Talk Line for more than 30 years. The number one question they get is about how long it takes to thaw a turkey. They recommend thawing it on a tray in the fridge and allow one whole day for every four pounds. That means an 11- to 17-pound turkey will take three to four days to thaw in the fridge. For other questions, you can call Butterball at 1-800-BUTTERBALL (1-800-288-8372), text at 844-877-3456, or chat online.
