Thanksgiving 2020 is going to be different this year. If you’re too stressed to think about cooking Thanksgiving dinner, you aren’t alone. There are a number of chains offering a full ‘heat & eat’ spread so you can actually try and relax on Thanksgiving.

Last year I ordered my Thanksgiving meal from Boston Market. I ordered it in advance and picked it up the day before Thanksgiving. It was good. I think homemade is better, but it was perfect for last year since it was just me and my then boyfriend.

This year I’ll be a week out of the hospital for Thanksgiving. I’m having some major surgery 10 days prior to Thanksgiving. I wont’ be traveling anywhere to see family but my mom is coming down to take care of me. Since it will only be the two of us, we will probably pick a “heat and eat” option for this year.

There are lots of options for this year if you aren’t traveling and/or don’t feel like cooking. Here are a few places to think about. Boston Market, Bob Evans, Cracker Barrel, Whole Foods and Marie Callender’s are all offering meals to-go. See pictures and more options here.  The Cracker Barrel feast looks yummy.

Locally, you may want to check with your favorite restaurant as many places in our area will also be offering Thanksgiving meals to-go. The way this year’s been, if you can support a local place that would rock! If you know of local spots offering a “heat & eat” option, let us know!
