If you thought the pandemic would put a stop to all of our favorite Charlotte holiday traditions, I’m happy to report that’s not happening. The annual Singing Christmas Tree is back for a 66th festive year, albeit with a slightly different way of seeing it.
This year’s presentation, appropriately titled “Home for the Holidays,” is virtual. Carolina Voices Artistic Director, Peter Leo, leads the MainStage Chorus through an hour-long concert of Christmas favorites, including a newly commissioned arrangement of “Silent Night.”
The Singing Christmas Tree is joined by the Grey Seal Puppets, the Miller Street Dance Academy, the Caroline Keller Band, and a special guest from way up north. You can see “Home for the Holidays” for free through the end of the year. Stream the show at sct2020.com or CLICK HERE.
