Coronavirus Information Report

It’s not surprising that the North Carolina Nurses Association (NCNA) sent an open letter to Governor Roy Cooper asking for stronger restrictions in the face of rapidly rising coronavirus cases across the state. Bottom line, nurses and other healthcare workers need help. Nurses are seeing patients flooding their facilities needing care and the letter explains that, while nurses understand and appreciate the economic pressures facing Governor Cooper, current restrictions have not been sufficient. Why? Because COVID-19 continues to spread at an alarming rate and the amount of non-compliance with current protocols demands more forceful restrictions.

This group is the leading professional organization for North Carolina’s registered nurses that equips nurses at all stages to thrive in an ever-changing healthcare environment. NCNA helps keep North Carolina nurses on the cutting edge of nursing practice, policy, education, and more. NCNA was established in 1902 and provides continuing education, networking, and legislative advocacy for registered nurses throughout North Carolina. Learn more by visiting NCNA.
