Ready to feel old? It has been nearly thirty years since "The Real World" premiered on MTV. I'm talking about the original "seven strangers picked to live in a loft..." I was a freshman in college when the show debuted. I didn't love it, but I watched. Maybe it was because the cast members weren't much older than me and I could sort of relate to them. But what about now?

The roommates are getting back together. Entertainment Weekly reports that "The Real World Homecoming: New York" is coming to Paramount+. The series will revisit the cast to see where they are now in their lives and careers. Do you remember any of their names? The "Real World" pioneers were Becky Blasband, Norman Korpi, Kevin Powell, Eric Nies, Julie Gentry, Heather B. Gardner, and Andre Comeau.

The cast will even come back to the loft at 565 Broadway in SoHo where it all began back in 1992. "The Real World New York: Homecoming" premieres Thursday, March 4th on Paramount+. You can see the teaser below, followed by a clip from the very first episode.

Phil Harris is 50% of "Phil & Mel in the Afternoon" on K104.7. He has been with the station since 2013 and on the air in Charlotte since 2000. Before coming to the Queen City, Phil worked for radio stations in Pittsburgh, Austin, and Seattle. In addition to the weekly "Throwback Threesome" music video feature, Phil writes about things that matter to Charlotte sports fans and pet owners. He happens to be both.
