While I was out recovering from neck surgery, my senior Jack Russell baby Mollie died. It was truly heartbreaking but I rescued her when she was 12 years old. I knew she wouldn't be with me long, but I was hoping for more than a year.

When Mollie passed away, it definitely affected Kramer. He missed having a playmate. Once I became well enough to return to work, I started looking for a new rescue baby. I'm partial to Jack Russell's. I love their spunkiness and they are fearless!

I saw a picture of Eddy online (pronounced Eddie) and filled out the appropriate adoption paperwork. Her rescue mom contacted me and we set up a time for a home visit. That happened yesterday. She brought Eddie along and she did very well with Kramer. Unfortunately, Eddy came from a horrible hoarding situation. Tammy, her rescue Mom has done amazing work with her! Eddy is still a bit unsure of her new surroundings, but I have no doubt that her anxiety will disappear in a few weeks.

Having a one-year-old Jack Russell is gonna keep me busy for sure! I haven't had a young pup in a few years. Eddy's energy matches Kramer's so I know that they'll be buddies very soon. I'm excited to see her grow and to see her become more confident. And of course, I'm glad I could rescue another dog.

I'll make sure to keep you updated on her progress in her new home and you know I always take lots of pictures! Here's a few of Eddy and Kramer.
