With spring officially starting this weekend, my wife and I have been hard at work in our front and backyards. Well, she has been hard at work. Sara does most of the planting and gardening. I mow the grass and prune trees. But I also look after the bird feeders. We have three seed feeders and a suet feeder in our front yard now. I need to add a hummingbird feeder next.

Hummingbirds are fascinating. So small. So fast. So hard to capture on camera. I'm determined to get a good photo of one this year. If you'd like to be able to see hummingbirds at your house, a Charlotte store dedicated to "bird nerds" is hosting a virtual Hummingbird Workshop. The experts at Birdhouse on the Greenway will teach you how to attract colorful hummingbirds to your garden using the right plants, feeders, and water.

The virtual Hummingbird Workshop takes place on Thursday, March 25th from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Admission is free but you do have to pre-register HERE.
