This is a fascinating story. A man who went missing in Florida was found thanks to the help of a musician. According to News 4 Jax, Randy Winter, the rhythm guitarist for the band The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, volunteered to help the Clay County Sheriff’s Office with their search for David Willard in Middleburg, Florida.
Winter happens to live in Middleburg, about 30 miles southwest of Jacksonville, and found out investigators were searching the woods near his home with ATVs and a helicopter. He wanted to lend a hand since he knows the area well and thought his highly-trained ears could help.
The guitarist heard something and asked searchers to stop their ATVs so he could get a better listen. He heard it again and it turns out it was Willard calling for help. The man was located and returned home with Winter’s help. Good ears!
