Uber Ranks Charlotte As One Of America’s Most Forgetful Cities
We’ve all done it. You’re traveling in a vehicle other than your own, like a taxi or a ride share, and you leave something behind. Unfortunately, you usually don’t realize it until that vehicle is long gone.
According to Uber, that sort of thing happens quite a bit in Charlotte. The Queen City cracked the top ten as one of the most forgetful cities in the U.S. on Uber’s latest Lost & Found Index:
The 10 most āforgetfulā cities
- Austin, TX
- Fort Myers, FL
- Nashville, TN
- San Antonio, TX
- Tampa Bay, FL
- Houston, TX
- Phoenix, AZ
- Kansas City, KS
- Charlotte, NC
- Sacramento, CA
As for what people tend to leave behind most in their Uber rides, it’s pretty much what you’d expect:
The 10 most commonly forgotten items
- Phone
- Camera
- Wallet
- Keys
- Backpack/Luggage
- Headphones
- Glasses
- Vape/E-cig
- ID
- Water bottle
But after that, it starts to get a bit more bizarre. For example, one Uber passenger accidentally abandoned a catheter in the backseat. Other interesting items left behind include a human tooth, a piƱata, a toilet seat, a mannequin head, and a painting of Kate Middleton. And then there are the 22 bundt cakes someone forgot to take with them. That must have been very disappointing. The weirder side of Uber’s 2021 Lost & Found Index continues HERE.
