I don't know what it is about sharks that blows my mind. Every year on the Discovery Channel they have "Shark Week" and rarely do I watch. But anytime I see someone post a shark video online, I watch it. I become entranced watching these big ocean dwellers. It amazes me and frightens me at the same time.

Musician Alex Albrecht captured a massive shark while at sea on a cruise ship in the Atlantic Ocean. The gigantic shark gave the boat full of tourists a scare and has sparked theories that it's a megalodon--an extinct predator known for its massive size.

The shark appears menacing as it swims slowly in a circle near the surface of the ocean, prompting screaming tourists to clamor near the boat’s edge to get a glimpse.

The video has been see more than 37 million times, with hundreds of comments speculating about its species. Some folks say it's a basking shark, which is harmless to humans while others think it's a megalodon, which lived 23 million years ago and was as large as 59 feet long.
