Bust out your favorite margarita recipe! You can have cocktails at home and hear all your favorite Jimmy Buffett tunes live this month. The iconic musician will celebrate Father’s Day and start off the summer with a show for charity.
On June 20, at 8 p.m. EST, Buffett will host a summer virtual concert experience from the legendary Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, California. You can see the show on the concert streaming platform NoCap.
Buffett has been performing at the beloved music venue since the 1970s, and this is his first concert since before the pandemic began last year.
Tickets to the concert stream are $17.50 in advance and $20 if purchased on the day of the concert and can be purchased online here. If you’re a hard core fan, you can upgrade and purchase a VIP and Meet & Greet ticket. Like an in-person show, you’ll be able to purchase merchandise for the festivities, including a special t-shirt and a commemorative ticket.
A portion of proceeds from the show will be donated to Buffett’s nonprofit, Singing for Change. Tickets to this show would rock for any Parrothead in your life and it’d make for a great Father’s Day present.
I’ve never been to a Buffett show but I have friends that go to his show every time he tours. It’s my understanding that Buffett shows are a serious event! Tailgating prior to the show is epic! Buffett’s shows always sell out so obviously he has hard core fans. An in-person show would be more fun, but you can make this into quite the night. Invite some friends over, make margaritas and rock out your favorite beach attire or crazy printed shirts.
