Apparently, North Carolina is a pretty fun place to live. With our beaches, mountains, cities, and more; what’s not to love? We have exciting theme parks and state fairs that come to town. North Carolina is a beautiful place to live and full of adventure. With summer just around the corner and over two-thirds of Americans planning to take a vacation, our friends at WalletHub released a report on 2021’s Most Fun States in America.

To determine the states offering the greatest variety and most cost-effective options for enjoyment, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 26 key metrics. The data set ranges from movie costs to accessibility of national parks to casinos per capita. Here are the top 20 states for fun! These states are ranked on a score of entertainment and recreation nightlife.
