Summer is officially here! Time to grab the family for some fun at Charlotte Motor Speedway while contributing to charity.
After hosting several successful drive-in movie nights for charity last year, Charlotte Motor Speedway has announced a new summer movie series. The “Drive-in to Drive Out Hunger” series will show movies on the speedway’s 16,000-square-foot HDTV.
The speedway, in partnership with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC), will host three drive-in movie nights. All the proceeds will benefit Speedway Children’s Charities.
The first event is set for June 30. Fans can pack a picnic and tune in to the audio through their car radio. Fireworks happen after the movie. Fun! Tickets for opening night cost $40 per vehicle, for up to 10 people.
“Trolls” will be the first film and the additional films and dates for the drive-in series include “The Peanuts Movie” on July 21 and “The Greatest Showman” on Aug. 11. Tickets for movies on July 21 and Aug. 11 cost $30 per car. Gates open at 5 p.m. each night, with movies scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here.
This is a fun way to spend some time with the family, see a movie, and give to those in need around the Charlotte area.
