I like shopping online. Since the pandemic started, I realized that shopping for groceries online helps to save me from making those impulse buys. You know what I'm talking about. You're rolling down aisle five and see your favorite cookies on sale. They're buy one, get one free, and when they're right in your face, it's hard not to grab them.

When I shop online, I can still see all the deals but when the "bad food" isn't in front of me, I tend not to buy them. Also when you go into the grocery store sometimes there's a fabulous smell of freshly baked bread. I LOVE bread! Publix has a roasted garlic loaf that is truly amazing! If I'm in the store, I buy it. Every time! If I shop online, I can maintain my willpower (sometimes).

So, last week I ordered groceries online from Publix via Instacart. Now, it can be a gamble with produce when ordering this way. Sometimes the shopper doesn't quite get how it works. Case in point, I ordered one bulb of garlic last week. Apparently the shopper thought the one meant ONE POUND! Now when you order garlic cloves, there is no pound selection. If you want more than one bulb, you up the number button to the amount you want.

When I picked up my groceries and unloaded them at home, I got quite the shock. The shopper got me a POUND of garlic. 13 bulbs of garlic. WTH? Who needs that much garlic outside of an Italian restaurant?! What am I doing, warding off vampires and evil spirits? Am I Kramer from Seinfeld trying to get rid of "Kavorka" (video below) I know garlic is good for you but damn!

Luckily, you can freeze garlic bulbs. I Googled it! I mean, there are only so many dishes I can make with garlic. Just a note to Instacart, make sure your folks are familiar with produce. LOL!
