A sandcastle constructed in Denmark may be the world's tallest sand structure ever built, according to a report from EuroNews. The castle's height was measured at 69-feet, five inches. Its creators say they beat the previous world record by more than 11 feet. That was set in Germany two years ago.

Thirty sand sculptors, led by Wilfred Stijger of the Netherlands, worked on the massive castle. Nearly five tons of Danish sand was used, so they did have some heavy machinery on site. The sand contained approximately 10% clay in order to help hold the structure together. Once construction was complete, an extra layer of glue was added to make it last through most of the winter.
