Man Charged For Flying Helicopter To Dairy Queen
When a Dairy Queen craving hits you, you gotta hit the closest store asap. But maybe not this way.
A helicopter pilot in Canada was craving an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen so he decided to fly his helicopter to the closest store. You read that right! He flew his helicopter to pick up a Dairy Queen ice cream cake! You can’t make this stuff up!
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) charged him with making an illegal landing. I can’t imagine the call they got! LOL!
The unnamed pilot, who was licensed to legally operate the helicopter but not to land it outside the Tisdale, Saskatchewan ice cream shop, was charged with one count of dangerous operation of an aircraft. The landing, taking place in “a high traffic parking lot,” was made around 5 p.m. on July 31. RCMP says that “the helicopter blew up dust and debris through the area, which includes schools, an aquatic center and more.”
After the helicopter landed, a passenger immediately got out and quickly headed to the Dairy Queen to purchase the ice cream cake. Apparently, there’s not a Dairy Queen in the town that the unnamed pilot lives. Investigators determined the journey to Dairy Queen was “not an emergency” and the pilot was charged.
Are you wondering the same thing that I am? Did he get to eat the cake before being arrested? I mean, you go to all that effort for an ice cream cake, you should at least be able to have a bite! Crazy! It’s been a long time since I had an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. Maybe I should snag one!
