ShutterStockStudio/ShutterstockHave you ever used a really nice public restroom? It's such a pleasure, isn't it? To find first-rate facilities at a time when standards seem to have gone by the wayside is almost like winning the lottery. But some people still care about quality commodes.
Cintas, the Ohio-based business services company, is asking the public to help them determine which public toilet should get the title of America's Best Restroom. According to UPI, Cintas has a list of ten finalists that were selected based on hygiene and aesthetics.
The list includes a couple of nominees from the Carolinas. I recently came across two very nice restrooms in South Carolina. One was at the BMW Zentrum museum in Greer. The other was, surprisingly enough, at a Denny's restaurant just off I-85 in Spartanburg. Here are the finalists:
- Core24 GVL gym in Greenville, SC
- Fancy Flush portable toilet in Santa Rosa, CA
- JFK Airport's Terminal 4 in New York, NY
- Nan Thai Fine Dining in Atlanta, GA
- Planet Word museum in Washington, DC
- Public restroom in Steamboat Springs, CO
- Pump House in Kannapolis, NC
- The Fed Community restaurant in Clarkston, MI
- Two Cities Pizza in Mason, OH
- William S. Craycraft Park restroom in Mission Veijo, CA
