It wasn't until this year that I realized that I'm getting old. Numerous memories of my life in radio have popped up on my Facebook page and I'm shocked when I see them!

I've been in radio now since the late 90's. I've been on air full-time 21 years this month. When I started on the air full-time, it was with WNOK 104.7 in Columbia, S.C. I did middays for three months and then Johnathan Rush put me on his morning show. Honestly, I didn't have a clue about what I was doing. I did the whole "fake it til ya make it" thing. Thank goodness it worked! I was with him for three years.

Rock 93.5 in Columbia is where I went next. Dave Stewart and I started a morning show. Without question, this was some of my most memorable years in radio. The station was amazing, there were always lots of concerts, and all my other on-air team was solid. However, I got a call to come back to Charlotte in 2006, and I couldn't pass it up.

I worked for the 99.7 The Fox for years and I did mornings on 106.5 for a few years. The Fox was my "home" so to speak because I started there doing promotions in the 90's. To be an air-talent there was huge for me. And I was the first female on the station in 10 years, so to me, it was a big deal.

K 104.7 is the first non-rock station I've worked for since 2003. It's funny that I started on a K 104.7 and that I'm now on a K 104.7. Even though my musical tastes are more rock-and-roll, I love it here! Without question, Phil is my favorite co-host ever. He makes me laugh on a daily basis!

This year has been hard for me medically, and Phil and Jack Daniel have helped me so much! I'm truly lucky that I work with such awesome people and for a company that cares about their employees.

Over the years, many people have asked me if I've met anyone famous. Of course! There are too many to list, but I've created a gallery so you can see a few. It's been thrilling to meet so many musicians that I grew up listening to.

To celebrate "National Radio Day" I'd like to thank YOU! Thank you to all of the people that listen, and that have supported me throughout the years. I wouldn't be able to do this without you!
