Highly Gifted Five Year-Old Accepted Into Mensa But Still Acts Like A Kid
Can you imagine being a five year-old genius? Most five year-olds are finger painting, learning to ride a bike, and eating dirt. Not this kid.
A five year-old boy named Krish from Washington state is the newest member of Mensa. Mensa is the world’s largest and oldest high IQ society in the world. They won’t administer tests to a child under the age of 14.
Krish started answering questions with “yes” and “no” when he was nine months old. His parents knew then he was special. The parents say he could speak fluently by the time he was a year and a half old and began to memorize all of the state capitals when he was just three. I’m 51 years-old and I can’t tell you all the capitals!
Since Mensa wouldn’t test Krish due to his young age, his parents took him to a clinical psychologist, who said his IQ was above 145. The IQ score qualified him for membership into the prestigious society.
Even though the young boy is brilliant, he’s still a kid. When asked what he wants to be when he grows up, Krish said “a garbage truck driver and Captain America.” HA! Love it!
