SQUIRREL!!! Dug From ‘Up’ Gets His Own Show!
Dug, the adorable but completely unfocused dog from the 2009 Disney Pixar film “Up,” is getting his own series. Popsugar reports that “Dug Days” premieres September 1st on Disney+.
This new collection of shorts will follow the lovable mutt on his misadventures in around his backyard. Other characters from “Up,” such as Carl (voiced by the late Ed Asner) and Russell, will appear and, yes, there will be squirrels. Screenwriter and co-director Bob Peterson voiced Dug in the movie and will do so in the series.
Disney has dropped the first trailer for the five-episode show and it’s every bit as fun as the original movie. Check it out:
