Pile Of Raw Chicken Found On Airport Baggage Carousel
Bad behavior on airplanes and in airports continues to be a problem, but a different sort of mess recently hatched at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The TSA there posted a short video clip to their official Instagram account showing a pile of raw chicken on the baggage carousel among the suitcases.

A spokesperson for the TSA told Newsweek that the uncooked poultry fell out of a cooler that the owner didn’t tape securely enough. You can see below that the “free-range” chicken is still in the shape of the cooler. Not wanting to miss the opportunity, the agency wrote a pun-filled post on the incident:
“There is a personal fowl on the carousel… Can chickens fly? Well… assuredly no poultry is flying like this. We hear at one time these wings and thighs were cooped up in a cooler. Somewhere between baggage and the carousel they became free range. Don’t wing your travel packing. In order to keep from ruffling any feathers meat should be properly packaged. Ice or dry ice is permitted to keep the flock chilled. If you are pecking around the internet for travel tidbits, nest time reach out to our hens and roosters at #AskTSA. They’ll take your raw travel questions and cook out an egg-cellent answer.”
I just want to know what my mother was doing in Seattle. As I’ve told on the air before, she is notorious for traveling with copious amounts of dinner ingredients. That has included raw meat, which I affectionately refer to as “purse pork.” So far, she has not run afoul of any airport authorities with her antics.
