You Can Vacation Like Mr. Peanut In His Nutmobile
Want to go nuts on your next vacation? According to CNN, Planters Peanuts is renting out Mr. Peanut’s iconic Nutmobile to overnight guests for the first time ever, as the protein-packed mascot makes the move to his new home at Hormel Foods. That’s right, the 26-foot long legume is transforming into a vacation property.
The new “INN a NUTshell” retreat is parked at a lake in Duluth, Minnesota and is filled with plenty of Planters brand products to snack on. Staying there will only cost $3.50, the price of a jar of Planters peanuts. Here’s the catch: this is actually a contest so only one person can score the two-night stay (10/1-10/3). But the winner will have a one-of-a-kind experience, which also includes a $1500 travel stipend so they can enjoy all that the “land of 10,000 lakes” has to offer. You can enter beginning Friday, September 17th. Click here for the details.
One of these days, I want to see a race between Mr. Peanut’s Nutmobile and the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile. I’m thinking zMAX Dragway in Concord might be the perfect venue for that supermarket sprint.
