We recently had a Harvest Moon but cloudy conditions in the Charlotte area made it impossible to see. However, I found some stunning time-lapse footage of the moon rising over San Francisco. It was filmed on September 20th by “astrophotographer” Shreenivasan Manievannan. What a cool job title! Watch as the big beautiful moon passes behind the city’s iconic Coit Tower.

I have never seen the Northern Lights in person, but it’s on my bucket list. For now, this amazing video shot by Noel Keating does quite nicely. The ethereal green hues of the Aurora Borealis dance along the horizon in this breathtaking display seen from Donegal, Ireland.
