Arby’s Unveils ‘Smoked Sweats’ Infused With Real Smokehouse Aroma
Smoked meat is yummy and I love the smell of a tasty brisket cooking. I don’t think I’d want to smell the smokiness all day though. And I’ve heard of and have had the ‘meat sweats’ but this is a bit different.
If it’s one of your favorite smells, this is for you! Arby’s is selling “Smoked Sweats” for a limited time. Hoodies and sweatshirts have been hand-smoked by pitmasters at the legendary Sadler’s Smokhouse in Texas. You can actually walk around all day smelling like smoked meats.
The sweat line is a product of apparel company Stateline, and the clothes are vacuum-sealed onsite to lock in that smoky scent. The line comes in burgundy, which is the color of a traditional pitmaster uniforms. I had no idea that pitmasters had official uniforms.
If you’re really into the smoky smell, the line will be available beginning October 4th at Arbyssmokedsweats.com The hoodies will sell for $65 and the sweatpants will go for $50. Personally, if I have extra loot around I’d rather spend it on actual smoked meat! Hickory smoked brisket sounds better to me that hickory smoked sweats.
And I see some issues with this line. If you walk around in sweats smelling like smoked meat I’m thinking dogs, cats and other animals may start following you and nipping at your clothes. If you buy these and have pets at home there’s a good chance the sweats will be eaten quick! I also think smelling smoky meats all day would make you nauseous.
These would make a great holiday gift for the pitmaster in your life. You may want to keep them in your trunk though once you wrap them. If you have a pet they’re for sure going to rip that box apart if you wrap it and put it under a tree.
