The Lawnmower I’ve Been Looking For Is Here
Tony Edwards started planning to build himself a riding lawnmower from scratch around two years ago. The British engineer has now broken a Guinness World Record for the world’s fastest lawnmower. One question: Is it for sale?
According to UPI, the mower is powered by a 1300cc Suzuki motorcycle engine and has a lightning fast top speed of 143.193 miles-per-hour. Edwards says he believes it can go faster, but due to safety concerns over its front wheels leaving the ground, he has decided to not push his need for speed. And for the record, yes, it can cut grass.
As someone who cuts his own grass, this is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Instead of spending half of my Saturday trudging across the yard, I could cross the finish line in under five minutes. Check out the clip below of Edwards’ mower in action at Elvington Airfield in York, England. You can tell it’s irresponsibly fast just by the sound it makes.
