Sheriff’s deputies in Ozark County, Missouri have probably seen it all now. There’s a lot to unpack with this story, so let’s dive right in.

It all began when deputies pulled over Noel Cole. First of all, his name rhymes. His parents may not have done a great job raising him, but at least they did that.

Noel Cole has several felony warrants. Knowing the deputies would probably want to discuss those with him, Noel Cole decided to roll. He got tased when he tried to drive away, but his vehicle’s door handles pulled the taser cords off of him. That’s when he started running.

According to KY3, while a deputy was chasing Noel Cole on foot, he noticed something suspicious in Cole’s hand. Or, rather, delicious. When the deputy caught up with him, Cole was holding a boxed frozen Marie Callender’s pie. He wouldn’t let it go, not even to save his own hide.

The Ozark County Sheriff’s department posted on Facebook that Noel Cole’s chocolate cream pie is safe with the rest of his belongings while he sits in jail. That should be in Marie Callender’s next commercial: “Pie so good, you’d go to jail for it.”
