Lego Unveils ‘Home Alone’ House Replica Set
Despite what you may think of Disney remaking Home Alone as Home Sweet Home Alone, the original 1990 film still holds up perfectly. The story of young Kevin McCallister defending his family’s home at Christmas from those two bumbling burglars is truly iconic. In fact, it’s worthy enough to be immortalized in plastic bricks.
CNN reports that Lego has unveiled its latest fan-designed set, a detailed replica of the Winnetka, Illinois house (top) from the original Home Alone. The set features 3,995 pieces and will be available for purchase on November 1st. “Just like every 90s kid, I grew up watching Home Alone and it takes a very special place in my heart,” says fan designer Alex Storozhuk. “I can’t even imagine holidays without it.” Neither can we.
Based on the video below, it looks like you’ll be able to recreate lots of scenes from the movie with Lego’s new Home Alone set. The “Wet Bandits” are going down again!
