Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers Tests Positive for COVID-19
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has tested positive for COVID-19, according to ESPN. Due to the positive status, Rodgers will not play at this Sunday’s game (Nov. 7) against the Kansas City Chiefs.
ESPN also reports that the NFL has “considered Rodgers as unvaccinated since the start of the season.”
Following NFL rules, any player who tests positive and is unvaccinated must quarantine for a minimum of 10 days. That would put Rodgers returning to the NFL, at the earliest, on Nov. 13, if he is asymptomatic.
Rodgers had an “alternate treatment” before training camp, reports ESPN, and then asked the NFL to consider him vaccinated based on that treatment. The NFL eventually ruled that Rodgers would be considered unvaccinated.
