Around here, Christmas music is king! Even though it’s just the beginning of November, we have received numerous messages asking when we will start playing Christmas music. People love it! But there’s a bar in Texas that isn’t a fan of one popular Christmas tune.

According to CNN, there’s a bar in Dallas, Texas that has rules about playing Mariah Carey’s 1994 hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You”. The bar is only allowing the song to be played in December and that’s not the only rule. There’s a sign on the jukebox that says the song can only be played once a night.

I’ll be completely honest, I get it! Even though we all love Christmas music at K 104.7, I do think that tune is overplayed. It’s a great song, don’t get me wrong, but it can wear on your nerves. It’s different for people that hear it multiple times a day or night. We all get that it’s become the unofficial anthem of Christmas, but after hearing it so many times, it can make you cringe. LOL! And you know how folks get after a few cocktails….singing loud and playing a song over and over. I worked in bars for years, and I’ve experienced it!
