Airline Passengers Had To Push Plane Down Runway
If you’ve ever flown with a commercial airline, you’ve likely had some challenging experiences. Mishaps, from the bad to the bizarre, just come with the territory. And I truly feel for people who work in aviation. It’s not an easy job. However, there’s one airline in Nepal that’s making all the others look really good.
According to the New York Post, a plane operated by Tara Air blew one of its tires upon landing at Bajura Airport. As a result, the plane was stuck in the middle of the runway, preventing other planes from departing. The airport didn’t have the means to move the plane, so the passengers had to get out and push it down the runway. Yeah.

Fortunately for the passengers, and the security personnel who helped them, the plane was a relatively lightweight Twin Otter aircraft. This probably would not have been possible with, say, a Boeing 747. As bystanders cheered on the ersatz crew, someone captured the scene on their phone. The video below has more than 800,000 views on TikTok.
Eventually, another plane arrived carrying spare tires and mechanics to repair the marooned aircraft. Both planes were then able to resume their regularly scheduled service. I have a feeling that if I ever fly with Tara Air, I’d be taking full advantage of the beverage cart.
