Dolly Parton Launches New Cake Mix Line
Here’s the story of my life: OMG I’ve gained so much weight, oh look, cake! The struggle is real for me daily. And I don’t think the struggle is going to get any easier. Dolly Parton has teamed up with Duncan Hines for a new cake mix line.
Dolly Parton is a tiny woman but you just know in your heart that she is a heck of a cook. The 76 year-old country singer and cultural icon is brining us a line of Southern-inspired cake mixes and frostings.
According to Southern Living, there will be two cake mixes and two frostings available in stores in March of 2022. There will be a Southern Style Coconut Flavored Cake Mix, Southern Style Banana Flavored Cake Mix, Creamy Buttercream Frosting, and Chocolate Buttercream Frosting. YUM!
If you can’t wait until March, a limited number of special baking kits will be available via the Duncan Hines website starting tomorrow, January 26. You know these will sell out quick so snag one ASAP. The $40 kit includes both mixes and frostings, as well as a Dolly-inspired tea towel and spatula, two alternative recipes, and a letter from Ms. Parton herself.
