Alan Parsons Project Concert Checks Another off Bucket List
I got into radio at 17 and never looked back. Part of your job when you’re on the radio is to attend and often work concerts. If you’re in radio in a format whose music you enjoy or is your favorite, then it’s even better. Since the early ’80s, I have been and fan of The Alan Parsons Project. For those who don’t know, Alan Parsons was a young recording engineer who worked on this little album by Pink Floyd called “Dark Side Of The Moon”. After that, he used his talents to assemble musicians for his thematic album “projects”.
My concert bucket list received another check last night (February 4th, 2022) at The Carolina Theater in Durham when I finally got to see a concert I have wanted to see for 40 years. One of the things you do as a parent is exposed your kids to what you like.
My kids grew up around all types of music so when I finally made it to an Alan Parsons Project concert after all these years, it was my son who discovered the show was coming and was beside me every moment as became a fan too. The concert was everything we had hoped it would be. Great Seats, great sound mix, and all the songs we wanted to hear. Below the video of “Eye In The Sky” is my concert bucket list.
In my career the concerts below were on my bucket list. YES/NO indicates the status.
